I am writing to you as the new blogger for SPOTeurope. My name is Kira and I am in my third year of studying OT in Germany. I have only recently joined SPOTeurope and am looking forward to creating the blog space together with you guys!
First of all, I would like to officially say goodbye to Emmanouela, who has managed this blog for two years. She has put so much love and dedication into it, cooperating with you guys, sharing both her own and your thoughts, actions, and impressions of the students OT journey in Europe. With a big thank you to Emmanouela, I am excited to take over her work at SPOT.
Another change on the board is a new role (general board member) being taken on by Ulrik. You can find out more about the boards’ members on the SPOTeurope website.
On the 1st of December 2021 we had our anual SPOTeurope event, the student session. Topics we talked about were i.e. setting up a miniSPOT, your feedback on blog topics and the newsletter and how to improve advertising for SPOT to make it known to more students. Thank you to all who participated, it was a great exchange on your thoughts concerning SPOT and internationalisation. We were also really happy to receive such kind feedback on our work on the board.
End of year
Also this is officially the last blog of the year, we will soon start planning the year of 2022! We are always on the lookout for people who want to share their personal experience as an OT student and become a guest blogger on this platform. Since I am new to the role, I am looking foward to get in contact with hopefully many of you and help tell your stories to others. So please feel free to email me at any time!
In time for the christmas holidays coming up soon we, on SPOTeurope, wish you a merry Christmas and happy holidays with time to unwind and spend with loved ones. As always we love to see you sharing your pictures or videos on social media and tagging us, to let us know how you spend your holidays.
See you next year!
