We hope everyone had an amazing summer, full of relaxation and great memories. With a new school year just around the corner, it’s almost time to start a new school year full of educational and exciting challenges with recharged batteries and fresh energy. We are looking forward to entering this new chapter together with you and making the most out of the upcoming school year!
Therefore, we are excited to announce the launch of our completely redesigned website. This upgrade not only provides a more modern and simpler design but also introduces exciting new features and sections that enrich your learning experience and connection with other OT students in Europe.
Colorful design
Our visual identity has received an update. The familiar colors blue and yellow remain, but purple has been added. These colors are further reflected in our new logo, which exudes simplicity and recognisability. It symbolizes the bridge we want to build between occupational therapy students across Europe.
Improved navigation and structure
We thoroughly redesigned the website to improve both its navigation and structure. Thanks to the new, well-organized layout, everything is now clearer. Our website uses a serif-free font for a clean, modern, and easy-to-read display, allowing you to scroll through the content without problems. These elements contribute to the accessibility of the website. Something that we, occupational therapy students, are striving for.
New Sections
Our former Sounding Board is now called “the Support Board”. This team consists of occupational therapy students who assist the SPOT board with advice and support. They have their own dedicated section on the website with detailed explanations of who they are, what their purpose is, and how you can become a member
Furthermore, we are introducing a completely new section: the Knowledge Centre. This covers everything that is OT-relevant and important for occupational therapy students in Europe. Here you will find, for example, news from ENOTHE and summaries from our SPOTinars. However, this is also the place to get valuable information about further studies, such as master’s programs in occupational therapy in Europe. Recommendations for further education, such as podcasts and webinars, are also provided in this section. Such that you can continue to develop your knowledge and skills.
Become a member: Unlock exclusive benefits
The biggest news? We are introducing a special Members’ Section. As a member, you will have the opportunity to create your own profile, which is only visible to other members. This will allow you to get in touch with other occupational therapy students in Europe, ask questions, and exchange ideas. In addition, you will have access to all information in the Knowledge Centre and receive information about upcoming events. By becoming a member, you not only contribute to the connection of students across Europe, but you can also influence the development of higher education in occupational therapy.
Mini SPOTs and International Cooperation
On the revamped website, we briefly present the various Mini SPOTs. These are the local or national representations of SPOT in the different European countries. Furthermore, we find it important to support OT students in their internationalization, which is why we have now collected associations of OT students from different European countries on our website. These associations act as contacts you can approach to organize an internship abroad, for example. This part of our website has been set up to make it easier to make contacts and gain international experience. Furthermore, we are actively expanding this network further.
Familiar Headings with a New Touch
Our popular Blog section remains but with new categories and an enhanced overview. This section will keep you up to date with the latest news, tips, and experiences of occupational therapy students.
We hope the new website meets your expectations and provides the information and support you need to become more efficient and successful in your development as an occupational therapist. We are excited to share these new features with you and look forward to your feedback. Together, we aim to create a valuable and inspiring environment for all occupational therapy students in Europe.
